Living at 100 km/h in our current societies is not without consequences. Insomnia, difficulties to fall asleep or night awakenings are known to all. The sleep-stress segment is a market driven by food supplements but in search of renewal. The consumer is more and more demanding in an era where data is so precious and its analysis is a source of possibilities.

40% of men and 50% of women in France report that they have already experienced sleeping disorders – significant figures for health workers.

To learn more, consult our section dedicated to this market in the Nutrition-Health Trends Booklet 2018-2020.

Among the connected health innovations presented at CES 2018 last January, Philipps’ Smartsleep headband caused a sensation! After Dreem, the French startup supported by Facebook, it is UrgoTech‘s turn (startup of the URGO group) to release its brain training headset. The company will unveil URGONight at the next CES in Las Vegas.

Focus on this connected headset that allows one to regain control of their sleep naturally and in just a few months.

This innovation is the result of 4 years of research and development with sleep specialists: European researchers, doctors and engineers. URGONight is based on the “neurofeedback” method. This therapeutic technique uses a learning process to train the brain to modify and regulate its brain activity

This non-invasive solution can be used at any time of the day to train brain waves that promote sleep. The headset works with a miniature electroencephalogram system, which analyzes brain activity. The user can view this activity in real time on the same application that accompanies his exercises.

URGONight promises a 53% reduction in night waking and a 40% faster fall asleep. The results would be noticeable in 3 months by training for 20 minutes, 3 times a week.  A case to be followed (or tested) at CES 2019!
