Weight Watchers becomes WW

weight watchers Weight Watchers, the famous company that uses « points » in its diet programs, is changing its name to WW.

For several years, the American brand has focused its communication on well-being, a fast-growing sector, in addition to its usual communication on diet. The removal of the notion of weight is thus in line with the evolution of the brand. The company is also changing its strategy with a new slogan « Wellness that Works » that reflects its ambition to expand its business horizon.

WW wants to reach new audiences, especially through technology: a new application and a reward program will allow users to make faster progress. The weight loss programs will be available in a test version via Google, Apple and Amazon voice assistants.

In order to satisfy all their customers’ needs, the brand also promises to offer homemade products only, sugar, coloring and preservative-free, starting January 2019.
