After the launch of Nan Optipro Supreme by Nestlé in Spain last year, it is now the turn of Laboratoires Guigoz to launch on the French market their first infant formula containing HMOs: Human Milk Oligosaccharides.
For more than 100 years, Laboratoires Guigoz have focused their research on the well-being of babies. In order to meet the specific needs of infants, they offer infant milk with oligosaccharides that are structurally identical to those found in breast milk. This considerable property of breast milk is therefore now accessible to everyone in France.
3rd most abundant solid component after lactose and lipids, HMOs play an important role in the development of the intestinal flora and the development of the immune system. By strengthening the microbiota, the baby is less prone to digestive disorders such as diarrhea.
Currently the only company on the french market to offer an infant formula containing HMOs, Guigoz should compete in the coming years.
